How do I take my temporary test site / HamroStaging site live?

There are two possible minor departure from how to approach this, reliant on whether the site being developed is hosted elsewhere or whether you're making a WordPress site on Hamro.Cloud:


Developing up your site at Hamro.Cloud however it is hosted somewhere else:

You might be using the temporary URL inside HamroCP while you build up your site. To take the site live you'll have to do both of the following:

1. You can either point the domain to our nameservers which are:

ns1.hamro.cloud

ns2.hamro.cloud

ns3.hamro.cloud

ns4.hamro.cloud

2. Indicate the domain the A Record that is situated inside HamroCP > Manage DNS.


WordPress Sites:

If you are using the temporary URL inside HamroCP and you have a WordPress site, you may need to do either, or both of the following:

Update the temporary URL inside WordPress Admin:

1. Log in to the WordPress administrator.

2. Click on Settings on the left hand side.

3. Change the WordPress Address (URL) to your actual domain name.

4. Change the Site Address (URL) to your actual domain name.

5. Update the database.

6. Backup your database and save the copy off-site.


And/or:

1. Login to phpMyAdmin.

2. Select the link to your database and choose the one that is your WordPress database.

3. All the tables in your database will show up on the screen. You will at that point see every one of the tables in your database, find wp_options and select Browse.

4. A screen will open with a rundown of the fields inside the wp_options table. Under the field option_name, find 'siteurl'.

5. Click the Edit Field symbol which as a rule is found at the extreme left toward the start of the line.

6. The Edit Field window will show up.

7. In the info box for option_value, change the URL data to the new site address.

8. Confirm this is right and click Go to save the data. You ought to be come back to your wp_options table.

9. Search for the home field in the table and click Edit Field. Note: there are a few pages of tables inside wp_options. Search for the > image to page through them.

10. In the information box for option_value, carefully change the URL data to the new location.

11. Confirm this is right and select 'Go' to save the data.
