The type of platform you should choose depends upon the software you intend to use to control your site.
Generally, you should choose Windows if your site is worked in ASP, ASP.NET or requires a Microsoft SQL database.
If your site is worked in PHP, Perl, Ruby, or Python at that point choose Linux. WordPress, Joomla!, Drupal and all other Web applications we give through our one click installers are upgraded for our Linux hosting stage.
If you're just using WordPress, at that point we prescribe using our WordPress hosting stage (it has WordPress-specific speed-boosting features). Windows hosting is just accessible through our Reseller Hosting program (which also add Linux and WordPress platforms).
If you're still unsure, we'd prescribe choosing Linux as it addresses most of our clients' requirements.
