Can I view my FTP, email address or database passwords?

We encode all FTP, email and database passwords so they are not visible as plain content inside your control panel.

The special case is the absolute first FTP account: this passwords is visible on the right hand side when you deal with your hosting. In case you're hosting reseller, this additionally allows your Customer access to HamroCP. You're ready to change all passwords and changes are typically processed immediately.

Please note: most of database passwords will be saved in the design or association strings for your site. For example, for WordPress, the database password is visible inside the wp-config.php file.
