SRV records - service records utilized in Office 365 - can be included by means of our DNS Management interface inside the control panel.
If the domain is registered with us, you can get to this from the 'Manage Domains' territory of the control panel. If the domain is not with us however is assigned to a hosting package, you can achieve this interface by means of the Manage Hosting - > Select Package - > Manage DNS segment.
Towards the base of the Manage DNS page you will see 3 inputs to allow you to include new records. To include one:
1. Select SRV from the Type dropdown.
2. In the Name field, type: _sip._tls
3. In the Data field, type: sipdir.online.lync.com
4. Enter 100 for Priority.
5. Enter 1 for Weight.
6. Enter 443 as the Port.
For the second record, select Click to include another record. Another line will show up.
1. Select SRV from the Type dropdown.
2. In the Name field, type: _sipfederationtls._tcp
3. In the Data field, type: sipfed.online.lync.com
4. Enter 100 for Priority.
5. Enter 1 for Weight.
6. Enter 5061 as the Port.
Make sure to save the records by clicking 'Update DNS'.
That is it!
Your SRV records are presently included. Our nameservers will begin answering with them immediately - however may take as long as 2 minutes. In case you're going through the Microsoft setup wizard or DNS checker you will almost certainly proceed in a matter of seconds.
